The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland was founded in 1784 to train surgeons and it is now a school for medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing and healthcare management. It is a Registered Charity for the promotion of the practice of science of Surgery, Anaesthesia, Dentistry, Nursing and Radiology and the provision of education, training and research  in Medicine and Allied Health Sciences. Registered Charity number CHY 1277.

We are responsible for setting the highest standards in surgical care and training in Ireland and are an internationally recognised medical school with  a 226 year heritage.
