International Congress of Medical Sciences for students & young doctors in Sofia, Bulgaria (ICMS)

For the last 12 years this annual event has become one of the leading and most important academic gatherings for medical students and young doctors in Europe with more than 500 participants. Our profound and leading philosophy is to stimulate and to contribute to the development of European scientific life by providing the best tribune to all those young scientists and future doctors who carry the light of the explorer. ICMS is organized by the Association of Medical Students in Bulgaria – Sofia (AMSB – Sofia, www.amsb-sofia.org), member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA).

For the 13th edition of ICMS, the Organizing Committee has decided the theme of the event to be “Molecules behind Medicine – what more Genes can tell us” putting emphasis on the future of personalized medicine and the latest discoveries in neurogenetics. The OC has invited several guest speakers from different scientific background from renowned Universities all over Europe.

This is a warm invitation to all future scientists who are seeking an opportunity to present their research works and exchange ideas upon topics in the field of

Leiden International Medical Student Conference (LIMSC)

The Leiden International Medical Student Conference (LIMSC) is one of the largest student conferences in Europe, hosted by the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and organized by (bio-) medical students.
At LIMSC students from all over the world will convene in the setting of an international conference. LIMSC provides them with the opportunity to present the results of their (bio) medical-related research projects, either in oral or poster presentation sessions. The sessions will be interspersed with guest lectures by prominent international speakers, interactive workshops, a range of social events and a Career and Internship Fair. LIMSC is a great opportunity to establish contacts with international colleagues and to build a social and professional international network. Association of Medical Students in Ireland (AMSI)

Association of Medical Students in Ireland

On the 9th of November, medical students from across the country came together for an inaugural National Medical Student Summit. The summit led to the launch and establishment of the Association of Medical Students in Ireland (AMSI). For the first time since the late 19th century, Irish medical students have an organization that can facilitate dialogue at a national and international level.

The national organization will aim to:
• Increase collaboration between the medical schools
• Represent the views of medical student on a national scale
• Promote medical student wellness
• Create a forum where students can discuss a range of scientific and social topics

This organisation will provide an alternative method for individual medical schools to communicate with all Irish medical students. You can contact AMSI at amsi.committee@gmail.com.

The RCSI student medical journal aims to provide a forum for RCSI student contributions to the field of medicine, in any discipline. The journal publishes student research ranging from basic laboratory science and clinical work to humanities analyses of medicine in society. The goal of the RCSI Student Medical Journal is to encourage student research, writing and submission for publication, whilst reaching a broad international readership through both our print and electronic versions of the journal.

ISCOMS – the International Student Congress of (bio)Medical Sciences – is one of the world’s leading student congresses in the biomedical field.

The 22nd edition of ISCOMS at the University Medical Center of Groningen in the Netherlands offers a stimulating venue for student research exchange and gives students the opportunity to broaden their social scientific network!

Our scientific programme includes a variety of both professional researchers (keynote lectures) and student researchers (student sessions) from all over the world, presented to an international and professional audience. A pre-course for mastering your research, hands-on workshops, contact with researchers, and an extensive social programme will make ISCOMS an enervating experience! At several parties and dinners you can meet other participants and the ISCOMS crew.

Besides the congress itself, we also provide an opportunity for ambitious students to follow one of our ISCOMS Research Fellowships (IRF).

Student Scientific Research Club, which was established in 1988, is one of the most active student organisation in Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty and in Istanbul. SSRC has announced its name worldwide by organising various organisations such as national and international congresses, career days and seminars.

Our biennially congress(IMSRC) is one of the most important and most extensive activities of our club. IMSRC aims to bring medical students from all around the world in order to present their research, share their experiences, learn most current developments, interact with other students and enjoy the beauty of Istanbul. Throughout the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, discuss their work and gain different aspects on medical subjects Hundreds of participants from all over the world improve their skills by participating in workshops. We also award students to encourage them.

The 5th edition of the IMSRC will be held on May 15-17th in 2015. Participants can present their research in an area of their choice.

İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty Students’ Scientific Research Club is continuing to light up the future with its biennial and now traditional IMSRC.
